Body mass index (BMI)Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to adult men and women between the ages of 18 and 65 years. Although your BMI does not actually "measure" your percentage of body fat, it is a useful tool to estimate a healthy body weight based on your height.
